Class 45 Wedding services, event services (ie. birthday, farewell parties etc.), fundraisers the service I am applying for trademark protection involves a type of modern-day version of "passing the hat around" ie. my service would be an alternative to using a gift registry at a wedding; it allows members of the public to contribute (usually by credit card on the Internet/by phone) to a pool of money intended as a gift at a wedding / birthday / farewell party etc.; it works like this... bride-and-groom-to-be register with my business through a web site; guests at their wedding and other members of the public also logon to my website and are guided through a series of steps where they will have an opportunity to contribute a monetary amount (via credit card) intended for the couple; eventually, (either before or after the event - ie. the wedding) a cheque is drawn on the contributions and is passed to the married couple as a gift; the contributers to that total amount will be included on a list so the receivers know who the gift was from; this method can be used for any number of occasions and fundraisers so should not be limited to weddings
